Nittany Nation fans echoed the Big Ten this week after the conference named Maurice Evans Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week. PSU fans in-turn voted Evans FightOnState.com Player of the Game for his stellar, game-changing performance against the Hoosiers. Maurice Evans lived in the Indiana backfield this past Saturday forcing two key fumbles, recovering on on the fly for a big, entertaining, shoe-losing run. He also ended up with 3.5 sacks on the day. Evans, a sophomore defensive end, is now ranked No. 2 in the nation for sacks, with 10.5, just one off the lead spot. He grabbed an amazing 90 percent of the hundreds of votes casted by PSU fans. Here is how the voting broke down:
