After an off-season of speculation, Penn State has a starting quarterback. Nittany Lion coach Joe Paterno announced Tuesday that Daryll Clark will get the nod in Saturday's opener against Coastal Carolina.
He won the battle against Pat Devlin in the preseason.
"I sat down with them at practice yesterday and they seemed fine," Paterno said.
Paterno said he does not intend to use a true two-QB system because he does not want Clark "looking over his shoulder." But he added that Devlin will see at least some action.
