| As powerful a back in the country, Gable has great balance and good ability to break tackles. May also project to a receiver yet still is a big-game back. |

| As a junior, he rushed 180 times for 2,027 yards and 27 touchdowns. At free safety, he had 85 tackles and five interceptions (one returned for a TD). Gable was named first team all-league, county and state underclass.
Final senior stats (11-1): 2,298 yards rushing/29 TDs; 360 yards receiving/4 TDs; 7 interceptions
Gable reports a 2.6 GPA/1020 SAT (new version)--October 8th retake unreported.
Gable: "I can make a play out of nothing. I can make something little turn into something big. I never give up. Even if our team is down by 50 points I am still going to play hard. I am a leader.
"I'm good at seeing plays before they actually happen. I read other defenses well, and I'm good at adjusting to them in the backfield. I'm also a good defensive back. I want to work on my skills on defense. Sometimes I have a tendency to look back at quarterbacks a lot when a play is going on. I also always try to run to the outside on offense and use my speed, but I want to start hitting holes better inside.
"(All my favorites) are recruiting me for both positions, RB and DB. I don't have a preference on a position in college. I'll play anywhere.
