| Paced the Bears in scoring as a rookie with 82 points, which ranked 2nd in NFL among rookie kickers and 3rd all-time in franchise history. Ranks as the most accurate kicker in team history among kickers with at least 25 attempts. Over the final 13 weeks of the season, his 21 successful FG attempts were the sixth-most in the NFL, and he made all six FG attempts during the final two minutes of a half. Opponents averaged just 18.8 return yards off his kickoffs to help the Bears special teams unit climb from 28th in Week Five to 2nd by the end of the season. Earned first NFC Special Teams Player of the Week award after hitting game-winning FG at NO (11/6/05). |
