| Rey Maualuga is an absolutely amazing football player. There is no other way to describe him. His combination of size, speed, strength and instincts will eventually make him the best linebacker in college football. Last season, Maualuga had 37 tackles, forced two fumbles and an interception in limited playing time. What stands out the most is the way Maualuga simply obliterates the ball carrier. It’s not enough to just tackle him; Maualuga upends, crushes and smashes him. This season, he will push Oscar Lua for the starting middle linebacker spot and star on special teams.
