2007 Season
Bentley is striving to come back to the field after missing the whole 2006 season after tearing his patella tendon on the first play of training camp. However, he may have to sit out the 2007 season as well if he decides to have a second knee surgery which would occur prior to training camp.
Prior to the 2006 season, Bentley started in 57 career games with the New Orleans Saints. He played two season at right guard (2002, 2003), and two seasons at center (2004, 2005). He is a two time pro-bowler, being selected in 2003 and 2005.
Biography
Bentley attended The Ohio State University where he was a three-year starter and a 4-year letterman. Became the starting center for the Buckeyes in 2000, when he was named All-Big Ten second team. Name the Remington award winner as a senior, while also being selected All-Big Ten and All-American honors.
Attended St. Ignatius High School where he was a three-year started. Became an All-State selection at tackle, but played at center and guard as well. |
