| Travis Williams finished his junior season with 68 tackles, 15 sacks and two fumbles caused. Offensively, he had 32 receptions for 632 yards and four touchdowns. All-Eastern District team selection. Williams says he can bench 315-pounds, squat 350 and has a 35-inch vertical jump. Williams also runs track (10.5 100m; 21.8 200m) but will only play football in college.
Williams has a little bit of work to do in the classroom as he reports a 2.4 core GPA and a 16 ACT. He plans on taking the SAT on Oct. 7.
Williams “I’m pretty strong and have a good upper body. I fly to the ball and have great speed. Not too many running backs can block me. I have great footwork and hands.
“I want to work on my agility and quickness. I want to react faster and get my legs stronger.”
