| Royster earned All-Metro and Virginia AAA Northern Region offensive player of the year as a senior, Royster averaged more than 9.5 yards per carry finishing with 2,161 yards and 30 rushing touchdowns this season for the Bulldogs. His four-year totals are 750 rushes for 6,384 yards, 90 total touchdowns .
Royster rushed the ball 255 times for 2,160 yards and 30 touchdowns as a junior. As a sophomore he rushed for 1,690 yards and 22 scores. He also plays lacrosse and runs track. He bench presses 315, squats 405, and power cleans 295.
Partial senior stats: Through seven games, Royster reports 131 carries for 1,600 yards and 20 touchdowns. Westfield (9-0) travels to Fairfax on 11/13 to take on Robinson--in what Royster calls "our hardest game of the season."
Royster reports a 3.1 GPA/1140 SAT (old test) and 1750 SAT (new test)--easily qualified.
Evan Royster: "I run up the middle well," said Royster. "I'm a powerback, but have pretty good agility too. I feel I can pretty much run through or around anyone, but I still want to work on my breakaway speed. I also need to improve my cutting ability and move my feet better."
